Super Bowl Sunday is nearly here! I’m not much of a football fan and my husband pulls for the Cowboys so safe to say, the game isn’t too exciting to us (wink). But even in the years when the commercials aren’t great, the food is still a winner. Here are some of my game day favorites!
DIPS
Two of the easiest recipes on my blog are Boat Dip and Fruit Dip.
Boat Dip is the ultimate easy, no‑cook party dip that comes together in minutes. With just four ingredients — sour cream, taco seasoning, shredded cheese, and drained Rotel — you get a creamy, flavorful dip that’s perfect for game day snackin’. Serve with Fritos Scoops or your favorite chips, and customize it with jalapeños, cilantro, or tomatoes if you want a little extra kick. It’s simple, quick, and always a crowd‑pleaser.
Fruit Dip is the easiest sweet snack you’ll ever make. With just marshmallow fluff and softened cream cheese, you get a smooth, fluffy dip that pairs perfectly with fresh fruit, graham crackers, or vanilla wafers. It comes together in minutes, requires no cooking, and is ideal for parties, holidays, or a quick treat at home. Simple, creamy, and always a crowd favorite!
Cheeseball Dip is a fun, scoopable twist on the classic party cheeseball. Instead of shaping it, everything gets mixed into a creamy, savory dip that’s perfect for crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggies. All the flavor of a traditional cheeseball with none of the fuss. It’s quick to make, easy to serve, and always a hit.
If you’re looking for a warmer and heartier dip, I’ve got those as well! With chopped hearts of palm, green onions, mayo, and a touch of seasoning, Donna’s Heart of Palm dip comes together quickly and delivers a fresh, tangy flavor that pairs beautifully with crackers or veggies. It’s simple to make, easy to serve, and made its debut in my kitchen several Super Bowls ago. There’s also Hot Crab Dip a bubbly, golden dish that pairs beautifully with crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette. It’s easy to mix, full of savory flavor, and always one of the first dishes to disappear at a gathering.
Cheeseballs
No Kentucky gathering is complete without a cheeseball! Here’s a traditional recipe with ham and green onions, and a meat-free recipe.
Hot Dogs
I’ve done a lot of different things for the big game, but a favorite is Hot Dog Chili, so we can have hot dogs and chips.
Whether you’re in it for the game, the commercials, or the food, I hope your Super Bowl Sunday is a fun one!
From the heart and from the holler,
Minda
